Common questions
Who do I contact to make a claim?
Contact the Claims Department at Quantum Underwriting Agencies directly, as soon as you reasonably can. Call 1300 974 095 or email claims@qua.net.au. Quantum Underwriting Agencies issues SSIA Storage Insurance, and these are the claims contact details in your Product Disclosure Statement (PDS). The Find the claims contact button on this page opens the PDS at them.
Do I need to tell SSIA about my claim?
No. Make your claim directly with Quantum's Claims Department. Quantum keeps SSIA updated on claims, so you do not need to contact SSIA as well. For general questions about your cover, you can still email storesafe@ssia.au.
What is a sworn proof of loss?
It is a signed statement setting out your loss, with the information and documents requested, such as the cause of loss, receipts and similar records. If you are asked for one, you need to provide it within 60 days of the request.
Is there an excess on a claim?
Yes. The excess is $250 for each claim, as shown in your policy schedule. It is subtracted from any covered loss that is paid.
