Can I buy Goods in Storage cover by phone or email?
No. Goods in Storage insurance is bought online through the SSIA portal. If you have a question before you apply, email the SSIA team.
How do I cancel my policy?
You can cancel at any time by telling SSIA. If you cancel in writing within 15 days of your policy starting, and you have not made (and are not entitled to make) a claim, you get a full refund. After that, you get back the unused part of your premium, provided no claim has been made.
Does the cover include moving my goods?
No. Cover applies while your goods are inside your locked storage unit or secured area at the facility. It does not cover goods in transit, or while they are being loaded or unloaded.
Is SSIA the insurer?
No. SSIA arranges the cover. The issuer and the insurer are named in the Product Disclosure Statement and in the licence details on our About page.
